Earlier today Monkey and I stepped out to escort the dogs to the facilities ((Helpfully provided by the city)). As we stood there, one of the little girls in the neighborhood, I would put her around 8 or 9 years old, walked past us. Monkey silently watched her approach, I was surprised that he wasn’t yelling “Hi! How you doin’?” at her the entire time she was in sight. Just as I decided he wasn’t going to flirt with her after all, Monkey threw his arms up, hands twisted into claws and yelled “RAWR!” at her. The poor girl just about turned inside out! I smiled and explained that it was his dinosaur impression…
Oh. Huh. I guess he’s a ladies man even when he’s in dino form.
Rhys growls at the ladies. Must be a guy thing!
so wish I could have seen this!
Very cute! Josh went through a phase of going to the mall to ride escalators. He speaks dog as opposed to dinosaur….loves to bark. One time we were on an escalator behind three very pretty teenage girls, and he started barking to high heaven and looking right at them. Since he looks pretty normal and quite handsome, they looked at me for an explanation or comfort, or whatever I could offer. I just said “Wow, he thinks you’re really cute…..he only barks at the cute ones.” They giggled and finished their ride while Josh continued to serenade them. Never a dull moment with our boys. <3
I love how you blog about all his adventures! I’m not sure if we ever formally introduced each other; but reading about your son is so funny because its like looking at my own son through your stories. Aramis will be 6 on the 25th. How old is your “monkey”?
Thank you Elizabeth! Caleb just turned 7, it’s funny to hear how much like other boys he is!
Not sure if you’ve had a chance to see my pictures. Is it just me, or do our boys look alike? Not just behavior, but physically… Even the same hair! lol
I was just looking…gotta love the curls!
LOL! Love that! Monkey just started this dinosaur thing this week. They’re studying dinosaurs at school. One night he met me on the stairs and did the whole “Rawr!” bit too.
Our boys are such ladies men:)
Holly is such a Tom boy lol she loves running around shouting Rwar at the top of her lungs scaring people. Hopefully in a few more years she will get the timing spot on like monkey too 🙂
